THE main route to Exeter for those living in and around Moretonhampstead will be closed for up to 20 weeks from January, Devon County Council (DCC) have confirmed.
The 18-week closure of the B3212 between Westcott Lane to Toll Cottage is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 5, 2026.
And while the Traffic Regulation Order could remain for up to 18 months, the work is anticipated to finish by late April.
Devon County Council’s interactive roadworks map states that the closure is to allow carriageway stabilisation and reinstatement works.
The road will be closed to all through-traffic for the duration of the works.
The official diversion will send traffic along the B3212, Six Mill Hill, Farrant’s Hill, the B3193, the B3344, Le Molay-Littry Way, Station Road, Monks Way, the A382 and Exeter Road, and vice versa.
