WITH just over a month to go before this year's Summer Reading Challenge gets underway, the team at Newton Abbot Library are hard at work to make sure it is one to remember.

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children aged four to 11 to enjoy the benefits of reading for pleasure; youngsters can either take part in person at their local library, Newton Abbot Library for instance, or online.

This year's theme, 'Ready, Set, Read!', focuses on games, sports and play

A spokesman for Newton Abbot Library said: 'Our team are working hard behind the scenes to put together an exciting programme of events over the summer holidays.
