Pictured here are junior lifesavers at Shirley B’s School of Swimming and Lifesaving show off their awards at the Lamorna pool in Kingsteignton.

In the swim are trainers Shirley Buttifant and Mady Bywater with helpers Elise Bywater and Michael Page who now help with others in the group after achieving gold in the Survive and Save class, the top lifesaving award.

With them are Rookie Gold winners Matthew Jones, Owen Wright, Harry Johnson and Ellie Rattue.

Rookie Bronze winners are Grace White, Mollie Wright, Kelsey Hammon, Daniel Palmer, Jacob Kenny and Aaliyah Rattue.

Mady Bywater is delighted with the achievements of the young stars whose ages range from six to 13.

‘We are so proud of all the hard work of the children, helpers and trainers,’ she said.

The club meets at the Lamorna every Thursday evening.
