Exeter resident Daniel La'Grue had an unexpectedly fortunate Friday when he won £1,000 through a lottery draw benefiting the local charity Animals in Distress.

A devoted animal lover, La'Grue supports the charity, which is dedicated to helping animals in need.

“I support Animals in Distress via the lottery as I have two dogs and four cats myself,” La'Grue shared.

“I like to do all I can to help animals in need. I was delighted to hear the news – and I haven’t had a holiday yet this year, so it will be brilliant to use some of the winnings to get away for a while!”

The lottery, organized by Your Charity Lottery on behalf of Animals in Distress, aims to raise funds for the charity’s vital work.

Rowana Rowan, Communications Co-ordinator and Fundraiser at Animals in Distress, expressed her gratitude for the partnership, stating:

“As a small charity, we don’t have the resources to run our own lottery, but working with the Your Charity Lottery team has made this weekly draw possible for us.

It's a perfect way for our supporters to help the animals in our care and be in with a chance of winning some great cash prizes in return.”

Rowan also expressed her excitement upon informing La'Grue of his win:

“We were so delighted to be able to tell Mr. La’Grue that he’d won! Congratulations, Mr. LaGrue, we hope you have a lovely break!”

Players interested in joining the Animals in Distress lottery can do so easily.

Each entry costs just £1 per week, providing the chance to win a guaranteed £1,000 every week or an impressive rollover of up to £10,000.

With 82 prizes available each week, participants not only have the opportunity to win cash but also support a local charity that heavily relies on financial contributions from the community.
