Look after the staff as well as the patients

EILEEN HART, of Newton Abbot, has sent us a copy of her letter to Dr Snee at the town's new hospital:

I wrote in 2007 concerning the future car parking facilities for the new Jetty Marsh hospital, for staff, patients and visitors.

I now find that numerous staff have been refused car parking permits.

Surely, it is very important to make sure that the staff are looked after – as well as the patients and visitors.

To have a happy and smooth-running hospital you must have an enthusiastic and caring staff. In these times a guaranteed parking space is a good beginning to the day ahead. It all adds up.

As there are only 71 parking spaces for patients and visitors, and 51 parking spaces for the staff, my earlier concerns regarding insufficient parking spaces seem to have been realised – already!
