PEDESTRIAN Kevin Hunt survived a dramatic road accident near his home in Newton Abbot after being carried on the bonnet of the car which was in collision with him.

His head smashed the windscreen of the vehicle which he was then catapulted off when it was in collision with a 4x4 at the traffic lights in Newfoundland Way.

Mr Hunt, 50, of St Leonard's Road, said after Tuesday night's incident on the pedestrian crossing outside Carpetright: 'I'm quite a big bloke. Anyone slighter would not have survived this. I'm lucky to be here.'
