Teignbridge Council's leader has scrapped the authority's newsletter.

Cllr Alan Connett believes the days when councils and NHS trusts could afford the luxury of their own press offices should come to an end.

This month he ordered the end of the council's own award winning communitnews magazine Teignbridge Life as part of a cost-cutting programme which will save just over £32,000 a year.
