POLICE have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Kingsteignton.

Officers were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a woman at an address in Hollam Way just before 10am on Saturday, June 27.

Officers and paramedics attended, and a woman in her 30s was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed.

A 50-year-old man from the Kingsteignton area has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody at this time.

Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
