A MAN in Buckfastleigh has been arrested after a police operation involving a police dog.
It comes after a large police presence could be seen in the Market Close area of the town on Wednesday evening.
It was in response to reports of offences being committed, including criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon and Section 4 Public Order using threatening behaviour.
As a result, a local male has been arrested, charged and remanded to court, the Ashburton and Chudleigh Policing Team said.
The team’s trusty four-legged companion, police dog ‘King Ken’, also saw action.
Ken located Class B drugs within an address, which the aforementioned male will also be charged with.
‘We will continue to tackle this type of criminality in the local area and target those involved’, said a spokesperson for the Ashburton and Chudleigh Policing Team.
‘These offences will not be tolerated and will be robustly dealt with’, the spokesperson added.
