Police are appealing for information following an assault that took place at Teignmouth train station yesterday evening (Tuesday October 28).

‘Officers were called to Teignmouth railway station at around 4:50pm following reports that a man was assaulted on the platform,’ a spokesperson for British Transport Police said.

‘The man was taken to hospital and, thankfully, his injuries are not thought to be serious,’ the spokesperson added.
