A TEIGNMOUTH man has been remanded in custody for trial accused of offences including carrying a fixed blade craft knife in public.

Morgan Povey, 20, of Hutchings Way, is charged with having the blade on April 16 in Plymouth.

He is further accused of driving a VW Caddy with no licence to drive a vehicle of that class between April 13 and 14.

A third charge is that he entered a property in Totnes as a trespasser between April 13 and 14 and stole keys, bank cards, car keys and a driving licence.

During the same dates, he is charged with taking the VW Caddy without the owner’s consent and caused damage to the vehicle by colliding with a lamppost.

At the same time, he is accused of driving without insurance.

It is also alleged he was in breach of bail between April 11 and 16.

The trial will take place at Exeter Crown Court on May 23 and Povey was remanded in custody.
