POLICE were called on to Dartmoor last night (Thursday) after a man threatened to jump from Hound Tor.
Officers were able to talk the man down without incident just before 8pm.
An ambulance crew, on standby, were not needed at the remote beauty spot beyond Bovey Travey.
The man, in his 50s, was later taken by police to hospital for a check-up.
