A MAN who sensationally chopped his hand off in Newton Abbot last week has vowed to amputate the rest of his arm if doctors don't do it themselves to relieve his constant pain.
Mark Goddard, 44, has issued an end-of-the year deadline to have his left arm removed above the elbow – or he will take the same drastic action executed at his home on March 17, as reported in last week's Mid-Devon Advertiser.
He revealed that his desperate act was the sad climax of a two-year campaign to have his nerve-shattered arm surgically disposed of to spare him agonising and continuing pain.
He says he was driven to the bloodthirsty act after a 'put me out of my misery' ultimatum fell on deaf ears.
