St Mary’s Busy Bees playgroup had their Christmas Party on Monday.
Dawlish mayor, Cllr Val Mawhood, and councillors Linda and John Petherick attended.
The children received presents from Santa Claus. Everyone sang Christmas songs for Santa and a lovely festive time was had by all.
The raffle raised £160 which will help to support the playgroup.
Natasha Cleave started this toddler group at St Mary’s Hall with funding from the town council which enabled her to buy some toys and pay rent for a few months to help them become established.
It has been an amazing success.
Many families attend from Cockwood, Holcombe, Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.
Natasha thanked all the local business who donated prizes for the raffle.
She also thanked all the parents, carers, grandparents and childminders who attend the group.
Most importantly Natasha thanked the volunteers for helping to make the playgroup a huge success.
Natasha said: ‘if it wasn’t for St Mary’s Hall Committee’s support and help, together with the funding from the Dawlish Town Council the play group would never have come to fruition.
‘We hope to go from strength to strength in the new year.’
