A TRAIN enthusiast from Newton Abbot is curious to find out what people think about the disused line between Heathfield and Newton Abbot.

Michael Cooke is urging people to come forward and express their views on what to do with the line – which is still in good condition.

He wants to see the line reopened and connected from Heathfield to Buckfastleigh and believes it would boost tourism.

The track once stretched all the way up to Moretonhampstead and has more recently been used for transporting logs.
