Supermodel Kate Moss has been spotted doing a spot of shopping and getting some fashion inspiration in Kingsteignton. Locals were stunned when the 33-year-old fashion icon strolled into the Ten Tors pub with friends for their lunch time service. Supervisor Lisa Discombe admitted she was completely star-struck at first but decided to take a chance and ask for her autograph. 'I had to do a double take at first. She was dressed casually in jeans and a denim jacket and seemed quite relaxed and cheerful.' she said. After checking with other staff that it really was the model, she grabbed one of their new menus and followed her into the loos. 'I said, 'excuse me, are you Kate?' and she said "yes". I then asked her to sign the menu for me and she did. Now it's propped up on the bar.' Lisa said everyone in the pub knew who it was and they were all frantically texting their friends in disbelief. Moss ordered a vodka and some nuts and stayed chatting to four mystery women for about an hour before leaving. She was later seen shopping at the local Spar shop and in Tesco Express, where she bought a bottle of Smirnoff Ice. Her appearance has sent tongues wagging in the village. It is thought she was on a visit to see some designer friends and look at vintage clothes to get ideas for her Topshop collection. On May 1 the waif-like celebrity will launch a range of clothes she has designed for British high street fashion chain, in her bid to swap the catwalk for an office and become a full-time fashion designer. In a recent interview Miss Moss claimed she could get hooked on life behind a desk. 'I'm getting really into it. I love it. Topshop owner Sir Philip Green has even said I can have my own office.'
