MORE than 8,000 missing person reports were made to police last year, a Freedom of Information (FOI) request has shown.
In 2025, a total of 8,572 missing person reports were made to Devon & Cornwall Police, the FOI request shows.
By comparison, in 2024, the number of missing person reports was 9,296.
And in 2023 the number was 8,590.
You do not have to wait 24 hours to report someone missing, police say.
