AN application for more than a dozen new homes on the outskirt of Exeter has been approved by planners.

Heritage Homes’ application - reference 23/02273/MAJ - for 14 dwellings at land off Dawlish Road has been approved by Teignbridge District Council (TDC).

The application, which also includes provision for pedestrian and cycle access, public open space and landscaping, is a part of a plans for several thousand new properties in the surrounding area.

Having been approved, twelve detached and two semi-detached homes can be expected, with 34 car parking spaces.

South West Exeter is a strategic development site located on the south western edge of Exeter.

The developable area spans both Exeter and Teignbridge local authority areas and is split by the A379.
