MORE than £1,000 has been donated to a fundraiser in the wake of the death of well-known Newton Abbot homeless man.
Teignbridge CVS set up the GoFundMe following the passing of Mark Bounden.
Mark was a familiar face to many in the town, having spent many years sleeping rough in Newton Abbot - making the area in and around Market Walk his home.
After having contracted sepsis, Mark spent a short time in hospital where he later died.
In the wake of his death Teignbridge CVS set up the GoFundMe, which has surpassed £1,000.
Floral tributes, candles and newspapers have been left in the space near the Alexandra Theatre where Mark had made his home.
