Cllr David Cox, of Bridge Road, Shaldon, writes:

In recent weeks you have published a run of seemingly Conservative-inspired letters (M Wylie is a former Conservative treasurer) attacking Richard Younger-Ross. I suspect most people are heartily fed up with the whole business and the continued mud slinging does nothing to help anyone. The reality is that the system needs to be improved and made much clearer and easier for all to follow and all to see.

MPs on all sides have either paid back money or have been asked further questions by Sir Thomas Legg – this includes David Cameron, the Conservative leader, who has been asked further questions about his mortgage arrangements.

It's time the whole system was cleaned up and finger wagging from Colin Pooley of Bovey Tracey Conservatives is simply smug.

Richard Younger-Ross is a hard working constituency MP with an enviable record of campaigning on local and national issues. Quietly and diligently, he has helped very many businesses, people and families across Teignbridge with their problems including, for example, those caught up in the chaos of the child tax credit problems and the student loans system.
