TEIGNBRIDGE MP Richard Younger-Ross admitted yesterday that he was angry about proposals to move Newton Abbot-based Aircraft Materials Ltd to South Wales.
'I don't often get angry, but I am not at all happy about this,' he said.
Mr Younger-Ross said he would be raising the matter in parliament even if it was a written question.
That will be directed to Welsh Secretary, Peter Hain and the Secretary of State for the Department of Trade and Industry, Patricia Hewitt.
He is asking them to explain how government funding can be used to destroy jobs in Devon.
'The sister company Irvin/GQ has a package from the Welsh Development Agency to move to Bridgend.
'It is a nonsense and a waste of government money if the company is trading here quite happily,' he claimed.
Long-established AML, which is in Brunel Road, employs around 90 workers who were given the news at the beginning of last week and began a 30-day consultation period about a 'probable plan' to move to South Wales.
Packages have been offered to staff who would like to move to Bridgend where AML would be consolidated under one roof with its sister company.
