A NEWTON Abbot mum whose child did not attend school regularly was given a conditional discharge by South and West Devon Magistrates' Court.

The mother, who cannot be named, had the case proved in her absence that her 14-year-old child did not attend college regularly. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £26 to fund victim services.
