DENBURY’S answer to Glastonbury saw around 9,000 people flock to Fairfield Farm to watch the likes of ’80s legends Paul Young and Dr and The Medics.

As the sun began to set, the drinks were flowing and the music was getting louder, with Company B getting the crowds swaying along to their rowdy jump jive tunes in the Vaudeville Tent.

The main stage played home to Paul Young and his band Los Pacaminos, who treated the crowds to their Americana music, and acoustic pair Showhawk Duo headlining the Friday night.

More than 300 acts played across the weekend and there was an abundance of local artists performing, including Go Tell Alice, New Daze, Tiny Folds, Kindred Spirit and Aspen Carruthers.

Headlining the main stage on Saturday was Dr and the Medics – famous for their 1980s hit Spirit in the Sky – who had the crowds singing and dancing into the night.

But it wasn’t just music that kept the visitors entertained, there was laughing yoga, healing, climbing walls, archery and children’s entertainer Jungle Jim.

Founder and organiser of the festival Emma Twamley said: ‘This year we achieved something incredible.

‘The whole site was full of happy people of all ages.

‘We have an awesome crew who go out of their way to make sure every single person on site is looked after and they work tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the event in every single way.

‘Events like ours need to be nurtured and supported – they are the backbone of communities and give so much happiness to so many people.

‘We are really passionate about creating a little piece of magic in our beautiful setting and this year I am pretty sure we did.’

But Emma and the Glas-Denbury team won’t have long to rest as they are already pulling together all of the elements for next year’s event.Check out our Facebook photo album here, http://bit.ly/2ar8kpY
