NEW timetable changes and tweaks to services are being introduced in Teignbridge by bus company Stagecoach.
From May 25, additional services will be running on several services over the busy summer months.
Among the more frequent services is the 12 which runs between Newton Abbot and Brixham via Torquay and Paignton.
To coincide with the summer season, Monday to Friday off peak buses will increase from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes.
Service 12 will no longer serve the bus stop at Windy Corner on journeys towards Newton Abbot due to safety concerns.
There are number of minor timetable changes at the start and end of the operating day, with a small number of journeys withdrawn or curtailed.
As part of a trial period, new overnight journeys will operate every Saturday night and early hours of Sunday morning until Saturday December 20.
Peter Knight, Managing Director of Stagecoach South West, said: ‘We’re pleased to launch our new timetables in Torbay from 25 May 2025.
‘We know that our customers value the frequency of buses, together with reliable and punctual services and we’ve worked hard to ensure that our new timetables reflect the travel habits of the local communities and that the network on offer is tailored for current levels of travel demand.’
A new Service 11 is being introduced, in connection to changes to Service 22.
Service 11 will operate up to every 60 minutes between Torquay and Dawlish Warren via St Marychurch, Teignmouth and Dawlish.
Buses will follow the current 22 route from Torquay to Dawlish Warren, with the section of route between Teignmouth and Dawlish Warren operated with financial support from Devon County Council.
Where possible, departure times and hours of operation reflect the current 22 timetable.
Customers are encouraged to check the new timetables before travelling.
