A NEW site has been identified for the £10 million South Devon University Technical College, it has been announced.

Land at Bradley Lane, Newton Abbot, had been earmarked as the first choice site for the 600-student college, due to open next year.

But problems relocating existing tenants – who include South Devon College's skills centre – to alternative accommodation in time, have prompted a switch to the former A?J?Blackler Renault dealership site in Kingsteignton Road, Newton Abbot (artist's impression above).

Despite six months looking for other premises, nowhere suitable was available.
