A NEW housing estate which a developer maintains will provide 'an improved gateway' into Teignmouth has been submitted to planners.An outline planning application for up to 225 'high quality' homes on fields off Higher Exeter Road, has been drawn up by Peter Brett Associates on behalf of Hallbaron Ltd, and will go before Teignbridge Council Planning Committee.'The proposals will provide much needed new homes for the area and are in line with the council's own plan for the town', said a spokesman for the developer. 'The scheme envisages new access points and a network of footpaths and public spaces.
