THE hunt is on to find the cash to build a much-needed replacement primary school in Bovey Tracey.
Land owned by the town council off Le Molay Littry Way – once put forward as a possible supermarket site attracting massive objections from residents – has been earmarked for the school, along with community facilities in Plan Teignbridge which covers the development of the district for the next 20 years.
But funding the project, which will cost millions of pounds, could be a major stumbling block.
In Newton Abbot £2.5 million is providing a bespoke new building at Haytor View Community Primary.
