NEWTON Abbot’s town centre multi-storey car park has been partly temporarily shut.

Levels 5 and above are out of action due to essential maintenance, according to signage on display.

There is no indication how long the closure is as it states ‘until further notice’.

The Sherbourne Road car park has 296 spaces and 17 disabled bays and offers long stay parking for up to a maximum of 48 hours.

Teignbridge Council said on the notices it apologises for any inconvenience caused.

The council has been asked for a comment.
