ONE Newton Abbot man is having a holiday he certainly won’t forget anytime soon.

Former town publican Kevin Truscott was out in Barcelona, Spain, having dinner when much to his surprise, a rather recognisable face walked into the same restaurant.

It was none other than music legend and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood.

Starstuck Kevin, who used to run the Wolborough Inn, couldn’t believe his luck when the 69-year-old posed for a quick snap and chat with him.

Kevin, who is enjoying a break in Spain with partner Alison, said: ‘We were having a quiet meal after a long day of sightseeing.

‘We had just finished eating and saw him come in with his wife and another couple.

‘I immediately spotted him and knew straight away who it was.

‘It would appear that he frequently visits this place as the staff knew him well.

‘After much deliberation I decided to say hello. I didn’t want to intrude but i needn’t have worried as he was very welcoming.

‘His wife immediately jumped up and offered to take our photo.

‘It was a brief meeting - but he was a true gentleman enjoying a quiet meal with his wife and friends.’
