MCDONALD’S new restaurant in Kingsteignton, expected to open in late 2026, will bring 'significant investment' and more than 100 jobs, the fast food giant has said.

The multinational restaurant chain says its new restaurant at the former Beefeater will bring ‘significant investment’ to the local area and deliver more than 100 full and part-time jobs.

The company have submitted a planning application - reference 26/00677/FUL - to Teignbridge Council seeking permission for alterations to the existing restaurant off Newton Road, including replacement heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Teignbridge Council are due to make a decision by July 8.

A spokesperson for McDonald’s told the Mid-Devon Advertiser: ‘We are excited about the opportunity to open a restaurant in Kingsteignton, expected to open late 2026.

‘The restaurant will bring significant investment to the local area and deliver up to 120 full and part-time jobs’.

The company also confirmed that the new Kingsteignton restaurant will not include a drive-thru.

McDonald’s employs around 180,000 people across the UK.
