Despite having multiple health problems, Richard Whitehouse, 92, from Teignmouth is doing his best to keep fit.Mr Whitehouse had a heart bypass and a valve replaced in 2005 and now suffers from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) – an 'umbrella' term for people with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both.After having heart surgery in 2005 at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, Mr Whitehouse was referred to Broadmeadow Leisure Centre, Teignmouth, to take part in circuits class, part of the referral system operated in conjunction with Teignbridge healthcare organisations.
