EVERYONE is in the pink after a planning wrangle cottage in Kennford was given a sober makeover.

Lantern Cottage was thrown into the spotlight when it was caught up in a row over a new covering of shocking pink.

Teignbridge councillors were threatening 'tone it down' action over the hideous brightness of the shade chosen by occupant and amateur painter Ann Kennedy.

Heathfield-based painter and decorator Tony Lamar, after prompting from his wife Kim, rode to the rescue by offering to come up with a colour to suit everyone's taste.

He and his team swooped into the village on Tuesday and did the job free in a day.
