WORKERS on a Teignmouth construction site are raising money for the girl who is in America receiving last hope treatment for cancer.

Jasmine Flay, 16, from Bishopsteignton, flew out with her parents at the weekend, and expects to be there for some months.

A fund has been launched to help cover the costs of flights, accommodation and living expenses, and builders working on the new police station in the grounds of Teignmouth Community College, were so touched, they decided to do their bit.

Matt Richardson, assistant site manager for Kier Western and the fund organiser, said he hoped to raise £1,000.
