A new youth facility was opened in Heathfield by Bovey Tracey mayor Cllr Avril Kerswell last week.
The drop-in portable cabin for the youngsters is based at Canon Road.
The land has been loaned by Sparkworld for three years. The project has come to fruition thanks to Bovey Youth Action and Bovey Tracey Town Council.
'After a painstaking period of time we are pleased to say it is now open,' said Terry Westwood, town clerk of Bovey Tracey Town Council.
'Youngsters aged 14-plus can go along on Tuesdays, 12-to-14-year-olds on Wednesdays and eight-to-12-year-olds on Fridays. It's open from 6pm until 9pm.
'We are grateful to Sparkworld for all their help.'
He added that the facility has been open for three weeks and numbers are steadily growing.
