A SECTION of the A381 Totnes Road remains closed following a reported tractor fire last night (Wednesday, September 23).

The incident happened at around 9pm, with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service called to the scene.

At least two fire engines and several firefighters are understood to have attended the incident.

The road remains closed while repair work takes place.

Drivers heading from Newton Abbot can currently travel as far as the Ogwell roundabout before reaching the closure.

Details surrounding the fire remain limited, and it has not yet been confirmed exactly what caused the incident or whether anyone was injured.

The Mid-Devon Advertiser has contacted Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service for further information and is awaiting a response.
