SINGERS from Teign Choral Society are busy rehearsing for their Christmas concert.
The concert, which takes place at St James’ Church on Saturday December 11, is being led by the choir’s musical director David Bowles.
He has chosen a varied programme which includes the choir singing a version of the Twelve Day of Christmas by Craig Courtenay which is described as a ‘musical journey through the centuries based on the well known Christmas song’.
There will also be festive carols, some familiar and some less well known and there will be seasonal readings at the event which is in support of the League of Friends of Teignmouth Hospital.
Chairman Carol Barr said: ‘Our Christmas Concert is an occasion when everyone can enjoy themselves, sing and support a good cause at the same time.’
Tickets cost £6 and are available from Teign Music in Carlton Place, Ashleigh Way Post Office and on the door.
Raffle tickets will be on sale througah the League of Friends on the evening.
