POLICE have been called in after a dog was seen to savage a sheep on a farm outside Bovey Tracey.

Inquiries are continuing to find the owner of an Alsatian cross, which killed one sheep, badly injured another in the neck and bit six more on the leg.

Treacle, a four-year-old Shetland, was killed instantly in the attack, which happened at the old Aller Farm.
