Singing sensation Christina Warn, from Kingsteignton, is celebrating after making it through to the final of a national singing competition.
She wowed judges at the Open Mic UK regional finals in Bristol at the weekend with her operatic rendition of Puccini's O Mio Babbino Caro.
'I'm chuffed. I was so shocked when they said my name and announced I had made it through,' said Miss Warn, 21.
'I think as I wore a black lace dress, had a crazy hair style and sang opera they thought I was quirky.'
Miss Warn said she gave her performance 100 per cent and had a tough job beating off competition from around 20 other contestants.
'Only three made it through to the final stage,' she said.
'I'm so pleased, as there was so many talented singers at the regional final.
'I am really thankful that my friends and family have been so supportive.'
The singer will now go on to compete in the final at Portsmouth Guildhall on November 28.
If Miss Warn wins the competition she'll have the chance to record her own album in professional studios, with the chance to release a single and win a chunk of the £25,000 worth of prizes.
She'll have to win over a whole host of music industry bigwigs including the founder of Atomic Kitten Martin O'Shea, DJ Mark Goodier, Steps singer Lee Latchford Evans, Another Level star turned solo singer Dane Bowers, Atomic Kitten songstress Liz McClarnon, writer and producer Mark Hill, music mogul and head of A&R at Future Music Chris Grayston and choreographer and dancer Tim Noble.
'I only get to sing one song in the final and, at the moment, am still deciding what to perform,' said Miss Warn.
'I don't know whether to do something from musical theatre or stick with opera.'
Shortly after the competition, on December 8, Miss Warn will be performing at the Chudleigh Christmas light switch-on.
