THE price tag for a set of temporary traffic lights in Shaldon has exceeded £40,000, a Freedom of Information (FOI) request has revealed.
Since February 2024 following a landslip, Devon County Council has spent £43,411 on lights at Ringmore Road to manage the obstruction, the FOI request shows.
The two-way lights are costing the council more than £450 a week.
In March of this year Devon County Council told the BBC that discussions with the landowner were ongoing, but, for the meantime, traffic management would remain in place.
