OVERSPILLING rubbish bins in Teignmouth town centre area during the festive period were a poor image for the town, it has been claimed.

Historian and writer Viv Wilson sent us this picture of large bins full to the brim in Osmonds Lane, and said there were similar examples elsewhere.

'It is a great shame, because otherwise Teignmouth looked fabulous with trees, lights and banners.'
