THE overnight closure of the A381 is due to get underway tonight.

The work is expected to last a month, with the section of Newton Road from the Littlehempston turn-off to Totnes being closed from 7pm to 7am each night.

The closure is to allow resurfacing works, including road marking, sign installation and vegetation clearance, to take place.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via the A381, A380, A385 and vice versa.
