WITH spring here and the warmer, sunnier days on their way, the Bikers Make a Difference (BMAD) committee have been busy putting together this year’s festival.

The bike event will be taking place over the May bank holiday starting on April 29 and ending on May 1 on Paignton sea front.

A spokesman for the event said: ‘The bands have been auditioned and finalised, the festival bar area has been planned and sited.

‘The 2016 festival is looking to be the best yet with something for all the family - young and old.’

There will be more than 100 trade stands including major motorcycle dealers and manufactures, exhibiting goods such as Harley Davidson and Hyundai.

For the more adventurous visitors there will be a wall of death for anyone brave enough to ride it.

Other competitions include best beard, which is open to men, children and women, the tasteful tattoo competition and there will be a £1,000 prize for the person with the best bike.

For the adults attending, the bar will feature more than 30 different real ales and ciders specially chosen for the event.

Bands from all around the region will include the Simmertones, Johnny Warman and the Lorraine Crosby Band, who will be entertaining the festival-goers.

Last year BMAD raised more than £30,000 for local charities with £20,000 distributed between Devon Air Ambulance, St John’s Ambulance, Devon Freewheelers and Torbay Young Carers.
