A team from Somerfield Supermarket reigned supreme at Newton Abbot's town centre pancake race on Tuesday.
They beat the Four Marketeers, a group from the town market, in the final and won the title for the fourth year in a row.
Nine teams competed in the event, organised by Wolborough Primary School.
'We've been organising pancake races for 30 years and are now on our third frying pan,' said Peter Ball, co-headteacher.
'It's a really fun event and we think it is great that we are keeping the tradition alive.'
All pupils from the primary school and nursery lined the course to cheer on their favourite team.
The Sainsbury's Elite team – Paula Hayman, Laura Mitchell, Elaine Mitchell and Jo Lewis – came dressed in Comic Relief T-shirts and rainbow-coloured wigs for the occasion.
'It's the first time we've entered and it's a great event to be part of,' said Mrs Hayman.
Photographic print company Truprint entered under the name Tru Sprint.
Jenny Pike, Ben Hayes, Charlotte Grigg and Lisa Hughes were fast, and put in a great effort, but were not speedy enough to make it to the final.
'We were robbed, pipped to the post,' joked Mrs Pike.
'We all enjoyed it and want another go.'
Learning support assistants from Wolborough Primary School dubbed themselves Lots of Spice and All Things Nice and certainly won points for effort.
The team – made up of Dawn Kiff, Dee Hern, Philippa Shanahan and Jo Miller – dressed up as pancake ingredients for the race.
When asked if they had taken part in any training for the event, lemon-costumed Mrs Shanahan said: 'We did our morning exercises with the children, so we're prepared.'
Thanks to quick running and polished pancake flipping the Somerfield team – Holly Heath, Toby Potter, James Hendy and Richard Enson – crossed the finish line in first place.
'It's fantastic and we feel proud to win again,' said Mr Hendy.
'There was a lot of competition.'
Town mayor Cllr David Corney-Walker was on hand to start each race.
'It is a wonderful event and lovely for the children. It shows good community spirit and long may this race continue.'
