A NUMBER of paths at a woodland park will close temporarily for forestry works.

Forestry felling and extraction operations are due to commence at Stover County Park on Tuesday, November 8, which will require some of the paths to close.

The work is expected to last for three weeks.

There will still be access to the aerial walkway and lake but only via the cycle route.

The main routes from the car parks and bus stop, direct to the lake will be closed for health and safety reasons - there will be no circular route round the lake.

Stover Park contains 114 acres of woodland, lake and marsh, heathland, grassland and a substantial variety of wildlife.

It is also designated as a dragonfly hotspot by the British Dragonfly Society.
