The bells at Bovey Tracey Parish Church rang out over the town as a mark of respect for Cpl Stephen Thompson on Friday afternoon.

The Bovey Tracey soldier was killed on duty in Afghanistan last month.

A special peal of 120 unrepeated call changes was rung shortly after his funeral, which took place 100 miles away at Beachley Barracks, Chepstow.
