UPDATE: AN elderly woman injured in a collision with a lorry in Bovey Tracey on Tuesday afternoon has died.

Police and paramedics were called to Fore Street just after 2pm yesterday, amid reports that a pedestrian had been involved in an accident with a lorry not far from the Cromwell Arms.

The casualty, police confirmed, had sustained serious injuries - although she was said to be conscious and breathing at the scene.

‘The woman, said to be local and in her seventies, was taken to Derriford Hospital where she later died.
