MOVES are afoot for Buckfastleigh to establish its own Food Bank for the town.

And the demand for such a scheme is already apparent, pioneering vicar the rev Tom Benson told town councillors this week.

The newly-installed vicar of St Luke's revealed that his initial inquiries into the feasibility of such a venture showed that many people in the town and surrounding areas would welcome the project.
