A piano busker who regularly tours towns around Teignbridge has launched a GoFundMe after her van was stolen in Tamworth at the weekend.

Chloe Marie Aston, who is known as the Piano Bike Girl, was performing in Tamworth on Saturday (October 11) as part of a tour of the Midlands.

Sadly, while entertaining in Tamworth her custom high top Ford Transit van, which contained all her costumes, equipment and spare parts for her piano bike, was stolen from a car park.

The theft has forced Chloe to cancel her Midlands tour and rethink her future. ‘I honestly feel like giving up with singing. I try and bring something nice to towns and this happens,’ she said in a social media post.

‘Luckily the piano bike was not inside, but all my back up equipment and costumes were, along with personal possessions,’ Chloe said.

The van is a customer high top Ford Transit with the registration WJ15XVA with black windows on both sides. Chloe is urging anyone with information relating to the van or who might see her costumes dumped, donated or offered for sale to get in touch.

Friends and supporters have rallied around to get Chloe and her bike back to North Devon, where she lives, and to tow her caravan back from Derby. She expects to be back at home by next weekend.

Money raised through the GoFundMe page will help replace her costumes and the stolen equipment.

Chloe started busking at the age of 14. She started out by singing and playing the guitar. However, when the strings of the guitar caused her too much pain her father came up with the idea of a piano on a bike, which they built together.

As well as busking, Chloe is studying music performance and is building her presence on YouTube by releasing videos to accompany her original songs and covers.

Chloe is due to perform in Teignmouth at the Christmas lights switch on in November.
