VILLAGERS in Ogwell have the opportunity to decide if a Neighbourhood Plan can be used to influence planning decisions until 2033 by voting in next month’s parish referendum.

It will be held on February 15 to decide whether residents ‘want Teignbridge Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Ogwell to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.’

If more than half of the votes cast are in favour then the Plan will become part of the development policy for the area and will be a statutory consideration in determining planning applications.

Polling stations are at Canada Hill Primary School in Abbotsridge Drive and Ogwell Memorial Hall in East Ogwell.

Voting will take place between 7am and10pm. Any registered elector living in the Ogwell Parish area is eligible to vote.

The Plan, a community-led process for guiding the future local development, regeneration and conservation, was produced by Ogwell Parish Council with support from Teignbridge Council.
