REGENERATION plans for a scruffy corner of Newton Abbot could be unveiled by Easter after a deal to secure the land for the town was struck.
Golden Lion Square, off Bank Street and Market Street, was formerly a secondhand car lot.
Developers wanted to build homes and shops there and in December 2010 it was on the market for £200,000.
A few months later Teignbridge Council made a surprise announcement that it had secretly snapped up the site for £50,000.
